Fish Laundry Basket

Vitreous Glass with Black Grout on a cement board

This
was made as a repair for a laundry basket. The 8x11 inch
rectangle is an inset for the wood top.
The
design and color were chosen to fit the bathroom the basket
lives in. The room is filled with blue, purple, turquoise
and ocean critters. The organic placement of the background
colors was inspired by the visible and invisible qualities
of the ocean. You perceive the depth changing with light
and visibility. You feel though the waters changing temperature.
Cold one minute, warm as whale pee the next, all flowing
around you like the wind.
